I had a "ghetto blaster" like the small one on top. In fact, that was its name since I placed letter stickers on it stating so. |
Soundwave had a ghetto blaster. Who knew?

I played my very first computer game on this called Oregon Trail. |
Ah, Oregon Trail - another perennial school computer lab favourite. Many a school period was wasted on this marvel of software...
For myself it began in the 80's... and boy did it carry on into the 90's... Lemmings, Star Control... |

No I did not have a speak & spell . And also I did not have this one:
But a friend of mine owned one and we played a lot of hours on it. _________________ That's the beauty of music. They can't take that away from you. (Andy Dufresne - The Shawshank Redemption)

I had a Comodore 64 and wrote a Space Invaders like game to it.
The basic procedure to load the game from K7 was "Play & Pray"
I had one of this too:
It had 2K of memory. Soon, I expanded it to incredibles 16K. HAL9000 was not a match to it. _________________ Resistance is futile. You will be assimilated.

Here are a few 8-bit computers that I had in the 80s:
I was a Spectrum owner that really wanted a C64. Dammit Dad!!!
It was on the trusty, Speccy +2, that I learnt about programming. Great times. |
