For me a tough question.
I am a big U2 fan (looking forward to their next concert in Amsterdam and Dublin in July)

As complete album I voted for The Joshua Tree.

btw I am the first voter here, so MissEighties tell us what your favorite album is Wink

btw Welcome to the forums and 1980s.fm Smile

You are right Sirius and Ferris, The Joshua Tree is a wonderful album and it would come second on my list. But my first love is "The Unforgettable fire", this is the album that introduced me to U2.

Gotta be Boy for me. The sound is so fresh and raw. I don't think they've ever recaptured it the same. An excellent band all around, but I play this CD more than the others.

For me The Unforgettable Fire edges out The Joshua Tree...Don't get me wrong about The Joshua Tree album, it is a perfect ablum (almost too perfect)...But for me it marks the beginning of their transition from a raw sound of the previous recordings...There are some really bad songs on the The Unforgettable Fire (i.e. Elvis Presley and America) but overall the ablum has incredible passion coupled with amazing soundscapes that for me The Joshua Tree lacks…
