So, I know this is a classic and cliché question, but what the hell? I want to know, What's your favorite Metallica album? _________________ MissEighties |

None of the above; I'd have to go with their black (self-titled) album. "Holier Than Thou" rocks, and I like most of the tracks on the album.
However, if I had to choose from the above, Master of Puppets would win, since it has "Sanitarium," as well as the title track, which are my other faves from Metallica. _________________ "The question isn't 'What are we going to do today?'-- It's 'What *aren't* we going to do today?'" |

I wanted to put 80's only albums, that's why the Black album isn't there, but that's quite a good think, the survey will be a little different!
For me it's Master of Puppets
Second: Kill 'em all
Third: Ride the lightning
Four: ...and justice for all _________________ MissEighties |

Kill 'em all does it for me...The other albums are great and really defines their style...But this album truly shows their foundation, from the New Wave of British Heavy Metal (NWBHM) to hard core punk…This combination set the style for thrash/speed metal…There is not much variation in the sound production to which most people I know thinks all of the songs are basically the same…However, listen beyond what is in front of you…Each song has that hard core punk brutal speed & attitude with the NWBHM more sensible song structure…There is no denying this is the Holy Grail of thrash/speed metal… |
