Should we use a name-range, instead of numbers? |
Yes! I like that! More intuitive and obvious! |

Maybe. It could be an improvement, but I'm not sure |

Nah. It's not really needed, and I wouldn't like it. |

|
Here is an idea which I think would be useful for 1980s.fm, but could also be extremely useful for the other 24/7 sites as well.
Right now, when you access the Menu Item "Station->Playlist / Requests" and click on either the Album or Artist links (the ones listed with individual hyperlinks, ranging from "#" all the way down to "Z"), some of these links lead to multi-page lists.
For Example, right now, if you click on the Album "B" link, you get text at the top which says:
190 albums in 3 pages: 1 2 3
There's nothing inherently wrong with this... however, an improvement would be to replace the numbers with an artist (or album range).
This way, if you are looking for a specific artist (or album), you will immediately know which link to click on, instead of having to click on nondescriptive numbers, which only approximates where the album is that you are looking for. This becomes a major advantage for sites like SST, when you have 7 (or more) numbers at the top, and no real idea which page the artist you want might be on.
So, instead of this:
190 albums in 3 pages: 1 2 3
You would see something like this instead:
190 albums in 3 pages:
B-52's, The - Beyond The Pale
BGM - Breaking The Chains
Breaks, The - Byzantium/Paris In Autumn
Furthermore, it seems like it should be a fairly easy coding change.
What do you guys think? _________________ "The question isn't 'What are we going to do today?'-- It's 'What *aren't* we going to do today?'" |

I would like to see when you request a song...that it not only gives you the album title, but the artist as well. That way you know that is the actual song you are looking for. But it is interesting to look at how many OTHER artist have the same song title. _________________ GROOOOOOOVYYYYYYYY |

I can see that being a useful addition, if you are doing a Search, and select "Title" from the drop-down box. However... it's a slightly different change from the above, and so it should probably be in its own Forum thread. _________________ "The question isn't 'What are we going to do today?'-- It's 'What *aren't* we going to do today?'" |

So where should THIS thread be sewn?....or has it already been done? _________________ GROOOOOOOVYYYYYYYY |
